Military Homecoming: Welcome Home USS Stout

It was a cold Sunday morning when I stood on Pier 5 with hundreds of families awaiting the arrival of The USS Stout. After a long six months patrolling on the other side of the world everyone was anxious for liberty to be called! I had the privilege of spending several hours with this family as they waited for their daddy to come home off the ship. If you have never been to a pier-side homecoming then you would not understand the confusion as the mass of sailors all in similar uniform disembarking the ship. Spouses wait in suspense wondering when their sailor will finally be in their arms. As this family waited, their daddy make a sneak attack and surprised everyone from behind! I honestly was lucky that I caught it with my camera! I am so happy for this family and hope this holiday season is a little extra special now that daddy is home. WELCOME HOME USS STOUT!!
