There are 365 days in a year. Each day can seem like it drags on forever. With two children of my own, during the busy day I daydream of the peace and quite that falls over my house when my kiddos finally drift off to sleep. And once I have finished straightening up the house and prepping for another loud and busy day, I tip toe through the house on my creaky old hardwood floors and gaze upon my quiet sleeping babies. They are not babies anymore even though that’s what how my husband and I refer to them. They are 4 1/2 years old and 7 years old. When I look at them sound asleep, I can’t help but get a little emotional. Time flies so quickly. You MUST capture the little moments and never let them go!

This handsome boy has been in my studio since he was still in his mother’s belly! It was hard to plan his one year portraits because I couldn’t believe how fast the year went bye. And it was even more shocking to see him walking outside today. Happy first birthday Jack! I love your HUGE toothy smile. I love to see you borough your head into your mommy’s chest. I am thankful for the privilege to watch you grow. XOXO
